Levels of Consciousness is a collection of paintings exploring the emotional frequencies that shape how we experience the world.

Each piece invites you to pause and notice what you feel within it.

Because the most interesting question is not what I see in the paintings.
It is what you see.

Inspired by the understanding that nothing we perceive is truly neutral, each painting reflects a different energetic state. Some evoke contraction and heaviness, while others suggest expansion, clarity, and light. Through abstraction, layered texture, and intuitive colour, the collection invites reflection rather than instruction.

Within the exhibition space, the works are intentionally left unlabeled. This allows each viewer to encounter the paintings through their own lens of memory, belief, and lived experience.

The collection is not about defining emotion. It is about witnessing it, and recognising that awareness itself is often where transformation begins.

The Gold Circle and Golden Threads

The gold circle represents wholeness and the absence of hierarchy. A circle has no top or bottom, no beginning or end. It holds everything equally.

Although these paintings are inspired by different states of consciousness, the experience of them remains deeply personal. What feels expansive to one person may feel challenging or unfamiliar to another. The circle reminds us that these states are not moral rankings. They are part of the full spectrum of human experience.

The golden threads suggest that there is always something more beneath what we see. On the surface, emotion appears as colour, texture, contraction, or expansion. Beneath that, there is continuity.

The threads move quietly through the work, reminding us that no emotional state is permanent and that no single feeling tells the whole story. Even in the most difficult states, something steady remains beneath the surface.
